Real Madrid has won their sixth European Super Cup title, defeating Atalanta 2-0 at the Warsaw in Poland.
The Spanish giants dominated the match, with midfielder Federico Valverde opening the scoring in the 60th minute. The Uruguayan's stunning strike set the tone for the second half, where Real Madrid's newest signing, Kylian Mbappé, sealed the victory with finish and a pass from Jude Bellingham in the 68th minute.
Jude Bellingham was named man of the match after providing an assist in the game.
Real Madrid's European Super Cup win marks their sixth title in the competition, making them most successful team in the tournament's history.
Atalanta generally held their own on their first appearance in this game, but Madrid were just too strong in the end and Italy’s wait for a first Super Cup success since 2007 goes on.
