UNILIA School Team Triumphs Over Bubire Socials

By Tao Jeka

The University of Livingstonia (UNILIA) school team clinched another victory, defeating Bubire Socials 3-2 at the UNILIA Kaning'ina campus Pamanda ground today.

Pilot Lumbani Msosa opened the scoring for UNILIA with a stunning free kick in the first half. M Dubz and Joel added two more goals in the second half, securing the win for the school team.

Bubire Socials fought back with goals from Gracious Gomani, who converted a penalty, and Simeon Chunga.

UNILIA team captain, M Dubz, attributed the victory to improved teamwork and individual performance. "The team has improved and is excelling more than last time. The members have been trying to motivate and inspire each other," M Dubz told Pamtondo Online. "So far, there has been improvement in both individual performance and teamwork."

However, an anonymous Bubire Socials player raised concerns about their team's defensive strategy. "Our team's defenders are so poor, we need to improve on that. The school team needs to be serious and confident when it comes to playing."

A supporter of Bubire Socials, who wished to remain anonymous, praised the teams' skills but criticized the officiating. "It was a good game, and I enjoyed it. However, both teams lacked proper officiating. Next time, they should improve on that."

Bubire Socials showcased impressive skills, including an impressive bicycle kick by Ian Kapindira, hinting at a bright future for the team.

The match drew a sizable crowd, although some attendees noted the low turnout of girls. The majority of the audience was comprised of boys.

Score: UNILIA School Team 3, Bubire Socials 2
