The Football Associations of Kenya, Malawi, Zambia, and Zimbabwe have announced the introduction of Four Nations Cup, a joint football tournament to be held in Lilongwe, Malawi from 18-26 March 2024.
The joint tournaments will serve as a platform for regional collaboration and development, bringing together the best players from across the region to compete in high-level competition.
The senior tournament will feature the top national teams from Kenya, Malawi, Zambia, and Zimbabwe , providing an opportunity for these teams to prepare for upcoming World Cup and AFCON Meanwhile, the U20 tournament will showcase the best young players from across the region, with the goal of developing and exposing their talents while preparing the teams for future AFCON Under 20 qualifiers later in 2024.
The tournament will also serve as a platform for cooperation and collaboration between the four nations, helping to foster a spirit of regional solidarity and cooperation. The presidents of the four Football Associations have expressed their commitment to working together to promote the development of football in Africa, and they believe that this tournament will be an important step in that process.
“We believe hosting these joint tournaments will build friendships among our nations, provide high-level competition for our players, and elevate youth football programs across Kenya, Malawi, Zambia, and Zimbabwe,”
the Football Kenya Federation confirmed in a statement.
