The Kaning'ina football team suffered a decisive 5-1 loss to Mwimba College of Agriculture at the Moyale ground, with Kondwani Gondwe scoring the lone goal for Kaning'ina.
The match was initially scheduled to take place at the Estadio de Agriculture but was relocated to Moyale ground due to unforeseen circumstances.
Despite their best efforts, Kaning'ina Campus struggled to contain Mwimba College's offense, which capitalized on scoring opportunities to secure the win.
In a post-match interview with Pamtondo Online, Bernard Mkochi, a Kaning'ina Campus player, attributed the team's defeat to a lack of strong attacking and inadequate training.
"Some players would miss training sessions, and others would only attend once. The agriculture ground was often occupied by other teams' training sessions, disrupting our preparation," Mkochi explained. He urged the team's supporters to remain steadfast, assuring them that the team is focused on winning future games.
Ashnal Hope, the sports director, echoed Mkochi's sentiments, citing a lack of organization and respect within the team as contributing factors to their defeat. This loss marks the second consecutive defeat for Kaning'ina, following a 3-2 loss in a training match against Moyale.
