As the new academic year commences, students are returning to UNILIA Kaning’ina Campus after the extended December holiday. The campus is now welcoming a fresh cohort of first-year students, who express excitement about embarking on their academic and professional journeys.
In an interview with Hellen Mwenitete, a first-year student pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations, she enthusiastically shared her joy at being selected to study at the University of Livingstonia.
Mwenitete expressed her anticipation of accessing a variety of materials related to her program to enhance her understanding of the profession.
"My focus in studying this program is to secure a better job and provide an improved working environment for those around me," she concluded.
In a parallel sentiment, Adrian Simango, a second-year student in Journalism and Development Communication, voiced his excitement about the school reopening. He looks forward to learning new things, reuniting with friends, and embracing the challenges and opportunities the semester brings.
Determined to succeed, Simango reflected on his past mistakes and expressed readiness for the upcoming examination results. He advised the newly elected members of the Students Union to prioritize listening to their peers, understanding student concerns, and collaborating to find solutions. Stressing the importance of passion and advocacy, Simango emphasized that union representatives are not only representing themselves but all students on campus.
