Malawian musician Gibo Pearson has narrowly escaped death in a car accident while en route to Blantyre to perform at the Bangwe Music Festival.
According to Gibo Pearson himself, the accident occurred when the steering and brakes of the car he was driving failed, causing him to lose control of the vehicle. The car was extensively damaged, but fortunately, Pearson and the other passengers escaped with their lives.
This is not the first time Pearson has faced a life-threatening situation. He was also involved in a flood disaster in southern Malawi, where he similarly escaped unharmed.
Pearson's fans and fellow musicians have expressed relief and gratitude for his safety, wishing him a speedy recovery and a successful performance at the festival.
