On the 9th of December, the people of Mzuzu kicked off the month with an exciting festival at Springs Park.
The event featured a lineup of different urban musicians, including renowned stage-master Charisma, dancehall sensation Sean Morgan, and dynamic duo Bee Jay and Ace Jizzy from Lilongwe.
The festival showcased emerging talents from the north such as Jamie Set, Mzuzu Mafia, Wellie 265, Twnda, and others.
The festival was exciting with the crowd going crazy as the artists took the stage. Charisma, Sean Morgan, Bee Jay, and Ace Jizzy all left a lasting impression by delivering amazing performances of their hit songs.
One of the audience who attended the show expressed that they had an amazing time at the event and they were really happy that Sean Morgan didn’t bail on them like always.
The performing duo, Bee Jay and Ace Jizzy also shared their experience on the show.
"We have had a lot of performances in Mzuzu, but this was something else," commented Bee Jay.
Ace Jizzy also shared his view on the growing music industry of Mzuzu
“we just love the vibe that Mzuzu musicians have given out this year and I also love the efforts Akometsi record label is pushing towards northern artists" he added.
Looking ahead, Bee Jay and Ace Jizzy hinted at upcoming collaborations with international artists from Zambia and South Africa.
Expressing admiration for local talents like Jamie Set, Merchah, and Mzuzu Mafia, the duo revealed plans for collaborative projects, including a new music project with Mzuzu Mafia.
