UNILIA KANING’INA CAMPUS PREPARES FOR END OF SEMESTER EXAMINATIONS

By Gift J Phiri

UNILIA students express concerns on the frequent changes in their end of semester exams time table.

The change of the time table for about three times in a week, has left a lot of students confused about the exams.

One of the students studying a Bachelor’s in Accountancy Timothy Nahosi, expressed his worries about the frequent changes in the exam timetable.

“This whole change in the time table has been affecting how my preparations for the exams has been, it keeps on disturbing my study time table,” said Nahosi.

Many students have also expressed concerns over the shifts in the time table on the schools official WhatsApp group, many calling the schools administration as unprofessional.

Despite the whole confusion, Patrick Maloni, a third-year Bachelor of Business Management student, says he feels well-prepared for the upcoming exams still. He's been putting in extra effort through self-study and group discussions with classmates, recognizing the importance of these exams for his final degree grade.

Director of Academics, Chimwemwe Mphamba, explained that the timetable changes were made to resolve scheduling conflicts between certain courses.

Some students felt overwhelmed, leading to the adjustments. Mphamba reassured students that the final exam timetable has now been released.

The current semester began on September 5, 2023, and will wrap up on December 22, 2023.
