Malawi Bureau of Standards awards certificates to 78 companies

Malumbo Kalua

The Malawi Bureau of Standards held a prestigious ceremony at the Mzuzu Sunbird Hotel on September 20, awarding permits and certificates to 78 deserving companies.

Clement Phangaphanga, Director of Industry in the Ministry of Trade and Industry, graced the occasion and emphasized the importance of maintaining high-quality products and services. He urged the recipients to uphold exceptional standards, warning that subpar performance could lead to certificate revocation.

"This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of these companies," Phangaphanga said. "However, it also comes with the responsibility to consistently deliver high-quality products and services."

Among the notable awardees were Kentam Products Limited, Chatonda Lodge, Maka Trading, Sana Mzuzu, Chicken Inn, and Mzuzu Coffee. These companies demonstrated compliance with the Bureau's stringent standards, paving the way for increased customer trust and business growth.
