Renowned hip-hop artist Fredokiss has declared his intention to run for a parliamentary seat in the upcoming elections scheduled for September 16, 2025.
Known offstage as Penjani Fredrick Kalua, Fredokiss has chosen to represent the southern district of Blantyre, an area encompassing neighborhoods such as Zingwangwa, Chilobwe, and Soche.
The announcement came through a post on his Facebook page, sparking conversations among his followers regarding the political party he might represent.
Fredokiss expressed his excitement about the candidacy, stating, "I am thrilled to announce that I will be representing the Blantyre, Zingwangwa, Soche area as a member of parliament."
This is not Fredokiss's first attempt into politics. He previously stood as an independent candidate for the same region in the 2019 elections but was defeated by Noel Lipipa, the currently MP.
